Mindset Profiling Using Wuxing (Five-phase)

There are many personality profiling tools developed based on research results in psychology. The mindset profiling tool developed here, however, is based on the five-phase theory (Wuxing) in Chinese Philosophy. A system of five phases (customarily also known as five elements), namely Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water, is used to describe interations and relationships between phenomena. This system forms the philosophical basis in diverse fields such as traditional Chinese medicine and geomancy.

The five phases are related either through a generative (生, sheng1) or an opposing relation (尅/克, ke4). The values of characterizing human mindsets based on the five-phase system are:

  • it offers a systemic and dynamic view of the interactions among people of diverse mindsets;
  • it enables the formation of constructive and mutually reinforcing teams to achieve results greater than the sum of its individual team members;
  • it reduces conflicts arising from differences in mindsets.

If you are interested to know your Wuxing (five-phases) profile, you are welcome to click on THIS to fill in the questionaire. All questions must be answered. The interface right now is unable to provide an answer instantly after your submission. Just drop me a message either though my blog or my facebook and I'll inform you the results later. My apology for the inconvenience caused.
